im doing a LS2 conversion in my factory LS1 car
what injector flow rates do I use
can I just copy them out of a 6L tune
or I was told find the % difference between the 28lb and 39lb and add that percent to the current flow rates

Hello GMMAD,

As long as your LS1 car is using a returnless fuel system, then Yes - copy (or copy and extrapolate) the values from the “Injectors” folder of the LS2 tune into the LS1 tune. This may involve coming up with “best fit” values here and there.

Also, confirm the MAP and MAF values - adjust as is necessary. Don’t forget to adjust the cylinder volume - to reflect the engine change.

If you have opened the tuning file as “read only” the software won’t allow changes until you save the file to a new file name. Alternatively, if you have recently downloaded the software, and have yet to enter your licence information, the software will be running in “Demo mode” and will not allow you to save changes.

I find the best approach is to open both tune files simultaneously and compare each cell / table one at a time. (You can have the tuning software open multiple times). If the table format (X & Y axis) are the same - straight copy and paste. If not, take a look at the values / ranges and use a “best fit” approach.

Cylinder volume for a 6.0 L is 750 cc if memory serves. Also, in post #2 above I forgot to mention you also need to change the knock sensor type (LS1 to LS2) and values.

On the road for the day, no access to the tuning software - responses are from memory, so always double check. Just trying to point you in the right direction.

ok I figured the cylinder volume....it says it was 708.2 in the ls2 file I was looking at
but came up with 745 when I worked it out
im using LS1 knock sensors ...so I dont have to touch that?
in the LS2 file there is allot off extra parameters compared to the LS1 file im having trouble with which things to change
and I cant find the map section in the LS1 file(mafless tune so dont need to touch MAF)

From memory MAP parameters should be in the Engine Diagnostics folder - MAP has its own subfolder I believe.

On the injector changes – take your time, look carefully, only change the parameters of which you are certain.

Post your tunes if wish direct feedback.

These are the injector settings I used with 39LB L76 injectors, which I believe are the same as the ones you are dealing with.

Are you sure the LS2 had 39lb injectors? I've just done some quick research and I'm finding mention of 33lb injectors.

the tune I was looking at is a 05 LS2 so not shore if they had smaller 32lb injectors or not Ive never heard it before
what tune did you get your flow rates from?

There was a spreadsheet floating around on here a while back that I think Marcin calculated. The values I use are based on that and seemed to work out pretty good.

My L76 injectors have the part number 0280158051.

anyone know if I can just add the % difference between 28lb and 39lb
there is a 39% difference between the 2 can I just add that to the LS1 flow rates
