Fuel Trim Cell 10

Is there such a thing as commanded fuel for FTC 10? Can you go in there and tell it to cruise in 6th at 15.2 or 15.7 A/f? Can you even edit such a thing?

In my calibration, FTC 10 is defined as the section of the Main VE table between 55-77 MAP and 1400-2200 RPM. This uses the cells between 60-75 MAP and 1600-2000 RPM.

If you were running open loop (fuel trims disabled), you could theoretically adjust the corresponding section of the VE table to run leaner. However, you might want to consider all of the possible operating conditions that could use that area of the VE table before making such an adjustment.

you can define your own fuel trim cells.

Tables b3809 and b3810 Those numbers are just where you would draw the line to set the boundries. I usually adjust the boundries to be more accurate in the operating range of the persons vehicle. that way the pcm will be more accurate at those ranges.

Can you elaborate on how you decide to draw the line?

if the vehicle spends most of its time at 2500 to 3500 rpms in one case, why have the trims be more accurate for 1200 and down. The idle trims will handle that section..

All I was trying to do was get better 6th gear mileage. It does not appear that I can lean it out to gain what I want so I'm trying to figure other ways to improve the mileage. 1st - 4th are play gears. 5th and 6th are my highway cruisers. I usually put it on 75, tap cruise control and steer until I have to pee or need gas or both. The new engine has killed my GM. I have a CR of 9.0, LS6 Cam and crank, and 3.73 gears. I used to get 28, now I get 21. Just trying to stretch the money a little.

Might try setting the cruise @ 70. Only other think I could think of would be to set up an OL tune and command a slightly leaner mix.
