Has anyone done this to their L76? I'm trying to find a good detailed write up on whats involved so I can finally put a cam in my truck...:D

Not sure about VVE cause my L76 doesn't have any cam phasers. if you want to disable DOD (AFM) completely it is a single table change from Yes -> No.

I meant mechanically,(disabled DOD, with EFI Live when I had 3,500 miles on my truck) I don't want to use an aftermarket DOD/VVT cam, want to go BIG LS2 or LS7 non-DOD non-VVT cam...

Gotcha!

I disabled DOD about two days after picking up the vehicle from the dealer. Probably had 150kms on it :)

Other than the lifters I'm not sure what else might might need to be changed. I suspect if you doing a cam project the lifters, pushrods, springs etc are all going to get the treatment anyway...

You will also need the LS2 timing cover and three camshaft sprocket bolts. Get the cam with the three bolts, not the large single bolt.
