Last night after installing a DSP5 switch I went to do a full reflash on an 03 LB7 and it stopped 509k (out of 512k) into the process and froze, then kicked me out. I tried everything to try and get the ECm to respond and take a calibration but nothing ive tried seems to work. Tryed it without high speed, unhooked batteries for 15 minutes, but still everytime I try to flash it I get the message "no response from ECM."

I dont know if the ECm took a poop or what. I have another ECM out of an LB7 here, and was thinking of swapping them but wanted to see if there were any ideas before I do that.

Also wondering if I swap ECMs do I need a Tech II to marry the ECM to the truck or not?

Thanks much.

Pull the Radio and Info fuses when doing the flash attempt. Also please check that your software and firmware are up to date (for FlashScan V2 only) as there is a dependency between all the software and hardware components.

Here are a couple of knowledgebase articles relating to software and firmware updates:
- Software
(http://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=5404-IJZV-0820)- Firmware
(http://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=7243-SFGL-2949)

If you still have issues please see this article (http://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=8254-QOGC-9586) and email me (support@efilive.com) the specific file.

If you do use the other PCM you can perform a VATS link.

I got it going, swapped the ECM and all was good. Sending the other one to Guy@SoCal for him to look at/repair.
