I havent used this table before , only played it with it years ago. I havent seen must posted about it over the years. I am going to setup it up on my racecar since it has a very high map reading at idle the car doesnt use much of the fuel table. I am just wanting to be able to dial in the fuel better at idle and part throttle. Any pointers on setting it up?

Lorenz, it has been at least 5 or 6 years since I played with this table, so forgive my vagueness. If I recall I first created a Map in the Scantool based on RPM and throttle position that logged the VE value, once you have driven around for a while logging this it will plot a good starting point for the TPS VE table values.

I found that but thats about all I found on the subject. I will give it a try this weekend. I just want to have as much done before hand as possible. With racegas almost $10 a gallon and my car drinks it, it gets expensive playing around, lol.

I played around with this for a long time. The hardest bit was getting the transitions between the two tables smooth, since the different axis can bring variation in airmass estimation.

Just to verify... on ETC cars ... the TPS referenced is ETCTP right?

If I'm using the TPS ve table all the time and I go into boost,Does it still use the TPS ve table or the boost ve table. My throttle % is set @ 45% and its using the 40% TP column,So I'm wondering is it using the 40% TP table column or using the boost ve table?............Paul

Paul,

Look at A0004 (MAP disable) and A0006 (TP disable)...

if either of those are exceeded, then PCM deactivates the TP VE table.

OK Joe,But lets say I max those out and want to stay with the TPS VE Table.Ahhh You know what,As I'm writing this I'm looking at those tables and there's {A0004} MAP DISABLE TPS VE TABLE and max is 105 kpa.I guess it goes to the Boost ve table.Oh well, I just answered my own question. Thanks for helping me find the answer Joe :).................Paul
