What is the best thing to do with the 4 (two pairs) of things that run into the DPF? On an unknown brand of DPF delete pipe, there are two ports, I am assuming to put back in the two tubes that are for EGT? I am 99% sure the only things that come out of the filter are a pair of pressure difference sensors and a pair of EGT probes (?). Should I tie off all 4 (but then the ports on the pipe?) or plug the two tubes back in like I've seen on another truck. Will this give any kind of useable EGT reading to the scan tool or does a calculation have to be made for accuracy. Thanks!

We generally just tie them up and if the pipe comes with bungs weld them up. There would need to be some sort of correction factor if one was wanting to use the factory sensors as egt monitoring, and i wouldn't be confident in getting my reading right there...i like mine in the manifold.

just my .02

Thanks for the info! Why did the dumb delete pipe come with ports if that is not an ideal place to put them? Has anyone just disconnected the sensors and left them in the bungs to plug the holes in the delete pipe like I'm planning? So the tubes wouldn't really leak of divert any exhaust if they were plumbed back in.

most of the time you can order them with/without bungs, but yeah thats no problem...you can do that too:hihi:
