I just off board flashed the 28F400 for my 9354896 PCM and my 0411 PCM, and neither will turn on. I have tried several different flash files, nothing, it won't turn on.

Anyone know if there is any sort of strange security mode that I may have triggered?

I am trying to fix a PCM for someone that when the PCM was flashed, it bricked the PCM. It isn't making sense.

I have tried to read the PCM with Winflash and EFILive Scan (using my Autotap cable), no dice.

Any chance you damaged the board when removing the chip? What about solder shorts on the legs? I take it you have done this before....

Simon.

Not saying no way, but 3 PCM's, and 4 different 28F400's, all doing the exact same thing. I am puzzled. If I connect my 2000 Park Ave Ultra stock PCM up, 09380717 PCM, all is fine. So my interface is ok. It is like the PCM doesn't want to boot.

I put in code that I personally read off a 28F400, and have program that code into a PCM that a person is using now, so the code is good (good enough he was able to do a full flash after I sent it to him).

My eyes certainly aren't what they used to be, and I don't have a microscope like I used to have, but the part is going on nearly as clean as GM's supplier for it.

The burner is reading the 28F400's ok, not seeing issues on that side.
