I'm putting a 2007 6.0 LY6 engine with a 2003 4l80e trans into a 1964 Chevy c10. I had a custom harness made for the LY6 4l80e swap but the people that made the harness are having trouble tuning the t42 tcm with a 4l80e calibration that will work with the e38 ecm. I know that some 2007+ 2500 Express Vans came with the 6.0 LY6 and 4L80e combo, where can I get this tune from so that I can just tune it myself. Or can anyone email me the 4L80e tune that I need?

Here is the 2007 T42 4L80E from a Silverado 2500 6.0L V8 tune from this thread: Stock T42 4L80E Cal (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?12568-Looking-for-a-stock-T42-4L80E-cal)

dc_justin is the original uploader, thanks bud!

If you cant get it to work, have you thought about running a 4L60E OS and then swapping a few wires around?

Thanks for the quick response, I'm gonna call them tomorrow and have them just send me the TCM. I have the original E38 ecm that came with the engine would I need to change anything in there besides shutting off the VATS and the rear O2 sensors for this setup to work?

My guess is yes, turn VATS off with the VATS patch and full flash the ECM. Kill the rear O2s as well, then cal flash it and see if it works. If it does, then great, if not read the DTCs and go through it one by one fixing them.

is this a 2WD base or 4WD? Anyone get T42/4L80E going in a GTO with LS2?

Not sure, honestly it shouldnt matter. If it's 2WD, just go through the tune and make sure the 4WD stuff is setup correctly.

Worst case, just repin your existing 60/65/70E. You need to swap 3 wires and kill a few DTCs to run an 80E with a 60E OS. Plus, since it's a factory car OS, you still keep the converter locked at 0% TPS. If you used a truck 80E OS, it would unlock.

completely understand what you are saying on the $WD stuff but was wanting to start with a 2WD base in case there are some pesky glitches in the back ground we don't have access to....

Read this: How to run 4L80E on 4L60E OS (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?4305-4L80E-Reference-Material&p=183064&viewfull=1#post183064)

You could fight it a lot, or just swap a few wires and be done with it. No guarantees that TCM file will even work with your ECM OS, might only give you 2nd gear limp home mode.
