Yesterday the family and I drove from Melbourne to Adelaide and being the log junkie I am, I thought I'd see how the V2 would go. While we took the most direct route for most of the trip, we diverted near the end to cross the Murray river on a ferry. The V2 logged the entire trip in one go, with the only breaks being 2 "rest" stops and one refuel. The technical details were....
Log start time: 09:24:19
Log end time: 18:54:51
Total log time: 09:30:32
Total PID count: 34
Total channels: 54
File size: 52.5MB
Total frame count: 887,897
Opening the log in Scantool takes about 2 minutes to plot the full chart data (after setting the log frame count to 1,000,000 of course). This is pretty decent really given the data size. The V2 ran flawlessly with no issues at all. Great work again guys!
Simon.

Cool. What fuel usage did you get?

Nice, I cant wait for V8 to open log files a little faster. Its frustrating when my brand new Core i7-2630QM quad core w/HT takes 15sec to replot a log. Same time as my old Core 2 Duo 2ghz dual core no HT.
Thats some serious log time! Were you using Stream-Fast?

The best the trip computer got to was 9.9L/100KM with an average speed of 86kmh. I had filled up for the trip the day before so it had some city driving on the tank. After hitting some slow traffic heading in to Adelaide it went up to 10.1lt/100 km though. Made a couple of changes to see if I can lower the figures for the trip home.

Stream-Fast is a laptop logging setting, not BBL. I was logging at 40fps though, but there were a couple of sections where the log was paused so the frame count doesn't quite match the total time.

A quick update for the trip home...
We left the South of Adelaide and headed home through the hills, meeting up with the main highway at Mount Barker. From there it was pretty free flowing all the way back to Melbourne although the traffic was heavy due to being the end of the Easter break as well as ANZAC day public holiday (5 day weekends rock!). At the half way mark, Economy was down to 9.2L/100km (25.5m/gl) which was pretty good. Then after refilling and making for home, I saw the numbers slowly improve until I got 8.9l/100km (26.4m/gl) as I crossed the West Gate Bridge. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with those figures.

You were able to log 40fps with those many channels/pid's?
I thought that after 24 channels your logging speed would drop drastically????

V8 (as in BBL) will log 40 channels at that speed, V7 is the problem with the channel count for CAN ECM's.
