Ok so my LLY was running fine but I had to up load my tow tune. So as usual I plugged my V2 in and started the process... like half way through it said it couldnt complete it and I did the whole the whole 15 sec thing and tried again. Now it says bootloader rejected cause no response from the ecm. I've tried no high speed and alternate keys and I've tried to read current pcm callibrations and I also tried to do a full reflash with my stock tune. I waited all night and most of today to try it again. This is what I get when I try to do just a cal flash.

I might not be that helpful, but let me ask the stupid questions does your OBD II port have power ?
If you connect the V2 to the truck WITHOUT the PC connected does it power up ?
Does your ECM have power ? When you turn the IGN on the Check Engine Light SHOULD
light up untill the engine is running.

You might need to pull the fuse for the Body Control Module.

Also update your software, thats at least 2 public releases old. Go to www.efilive.com and click downloads, download V7.5 and V8. Update your V2s firmware, then try it again.

Any aftermarket stereo, alarm, etc that is on the OBDII bus? Pull the BCM fuses like L31Sleeper suggested, LLYs are known for being tricky to flash sometimes.

The check engine light does come on when I turn the key on. And my stuff comes on like normal when I turn the key to the on position but then it wont crank if I try to start it. And why do I have to update it if its the same one that I've been using the whole time? But I will try that also.
And do I leave the fuse out or just take it out for like 30 seconds?
And no radio or alarm. All stock

Oh and yes the OBD II port has power

The BCM can interfere with information on the data bus. You should be able to complete a flash with the fuse out.

I did the update on my computer but how do I update the firmware on my V2?

Open EFILive V8 Scan & Tune with your V2 plugged in. Wait for the little V2 icon to appear near the windows clock, then click the notification. Click F6: Firmware, then click update firmware.

Sweet Thanks!! So last night I realized my DRL's were dim while I was trying to get it to work. If my batteries are low could this cause a problem with ECM communication?

And where is the BCM located? I found like 3 fuses with the similar description in my manual...

So with all the new updates and without removing the fuse I still have no success.... It just says bootloader rejected cause no response from ECM.
When I click the show calibrations for currently connected PCM this is what I get... I was wondering if the ones that are blank mean something??

Disconnect both batteries after about 10-15 min touch the cables together. I was reading a thread
earlier today where a guy with an LLY thought his ECM was toast but that woke it back up.

I'm willing to try anything at this point

And check the voltage, if its low then you wont be able to flash. Ive had times when the trucks battery was really low from continually trying to flash and it kept killing the battery further. Throw a battery charger on it for 30 min and see if it works then.

Ok thanks guys!! I got it running finally. I unhooked the batteries for like 30 mins and then charged them while they were unhooked. Put it all back together and presto!! I had to do a full reflash though. But hey its running so thank god

Cool, good deal. Might want to throw a small charger on before a flash next time.

L31Sleeper, do you have any idea if I should touch the cables disconnected? That's how I understand it. And if so how would that help? No juice to trigger any change???
