We installed a custom cam in an otherwise stock L92.
What do I need to do to get the cam dialed in? Do I need to adjust timing based
on changes to cam phasing?
So far there seems to be little information out there.
Cam specs are: 218/226 .595” / .598” 114 LSA +5 advance
Can someone guide me through this ?! I have never tuned an E38, only LS1B and Diesels :hihi:

E38-idle-tuning (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?9740-E38-idle-tuning) is a good place to start. Did you install a Cam Phaser Limiter Kit?

IIRC the guys from Comp said, lock the advance to a fixed value and tune it. Take a dyno readout.. rince and repeat. Then overlay your results and select the various advances that best suit your torque profile requirements.
(ie) Max it out ;)

You probably dont want to do it in 1* increments!

(ie) you tune it multiple times!
