Need to tune an Australian import 1998 6.5Lt turbo diesel suburban for a friend. Was wondering what software people are using or if Efilive can do the job.

You may be cheaper to have HEATH do an ECM for you if it is just one that your doing. I believe HEATH sells his ECM for about $400-500 US, and the TUNERCAT package will cost about $1100 US.

My friend has already gotten a Heath PCM and is fairly happy with the results, he still gets a constant MIL light and it is a pain to have to send the PCM back to the states to have changes made. What version of Tunercat is needed for this vehicle, I took the PCM apart and saw that it uses a flash chip, not eprom? Can the PCM be upgraded to a later model PCM? Are these vehicles OBDII?
Thanks for any replies or help.
