whai pid do i turn on to enable voltages to be read from bcm/ autoride so i can recalibrate sensors with brackets to fit 3 " lift..?? was told this was an option prior to purchasing, and it is here today, i cant seem to find the 4 voltage readings/ sensor sates, nor can i see the solenoid state for the 4 shocks-04 yukon xl 8.1. the scanner does see bcm and other modules... thanks

Who told you that EFILive could log BCM data? It can't.

Sorry but EFILive only talks to the PCM, ECM, and/or TCM. All it does for the other modules is clear the DTCs they set when you are reading or flashing a PCM/ECM/TCM. You will need a Tech II (if they can do that).

thats the worst news yet... Alex at a dealer for these in CA. expressed that i could use the tool to see the values, i wanted to see the voltage adjusted by the sensor....SURE SURE i asked a couple of times .. "i hate when sales guys are not tech, anything to sell the 825$$$$ scanner umphhh, i am soooo let down.. " thanks for your reply, i shuold have waited or asked here first. but i wanted to have it b4 asking b/c these sales guys all oh yeah yeah yeah.... and i wanted to believe them so i could fix it... to the Makers/programmers let me know when a patch is avail so i can scan this ??please

stream lic ... s-act and s-lsa active,,If you are reading the tune from the PCM using V2 black box mode, you have to first configure V2 for BBx, see the pics in these threads:

Or you can try to read the PCM using passthru mode (PCM->V2->laptop).

When you scan, where do you see it being reported as a 4L60E (can you post a screenshot)...?

Which year/model/vehicle...? (did you say 2004 Yukon 8.1L...?)

What are the engine and trans RPO codes (look for Lxx and Mxx on the RPO label)...?

A PCM license is used only when flashing.

i cant get any options to be able to read info on tune only option for flash..??

regards and thanks for insight Caleb

You won't be able to tell which transmission segment the the PCM has until you read the PCM's flash memory.

2004 Yukon would be LS1B, so in your V2 BBx configuration you want to specify LS1B with auto trans...

see the links in post #8 above.

Be sure to first install the latest V7 and V8 software from here (http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=133).

Also, using EFILive Explorer check the firmware version of your V2... if it is not 2.07.09 then yo have to flash that it.

Also, in the scantool or tunetool, go Help->Registrer EFILive, did you enter the software license details from your blue card...?

enter only what is on the card;

the date is in non-US format.

yes i entered the license, commercial or personal ...the build date is 31 march 2011
yes i can choose ls1b my date in scan but not in tune.. i dont get demo display so i assume i am not demoing, i loaded the 7.5 but but not 8 i will load 8.
i read and read listed threads b4 and again today.. in flash tune program i cant even get info for the pcm , its shaded, i can get some info on modules and system thru scan . i can select pid and view them in scan etc... but nothing with tune? i will load efiexplorer and check version... its sure a fresh one soo i cant seem to think its too far off.. i will check . thanks

You cant use both V7.5 Scan tool and tune tool at the same time, as in be connected in V7.5 scan and try to read the tune, wont work. Nor can you have anything V8 related open and try to use V7 to read/scan, it wont work.

You HAVE to load BOTH V7.5 and V8, V8 is the backbone of the FlashScan V2, without it its basically useless. V8 handles upgrading firmware, programming standalone settings, and now you can read and flash with V8.

Did you update the firmware of your V2? Did you program the proper controller selection like joecar mentioned above?

Try this, with nothing else connected hook your V2 to your truck and to your laptop. Open V7.5 tune tool then click Flash->Read PCM calibrations. Select LS1B Gen III 99-08 PCM, then click Start. That is all you should have to do to get a valid stock read onto your laptop. Once its done, save the file in multiple places in case you overwrite it accidentally.

rubber,

update V7 and V8 software to the latest, and update V2 firmware to the latest... please...?

Then follow the picture-grams in the threads I linked above, if you do this then V2 BBL/BBF will work properly...

Caleb,

so now it can read the tune, cool

look in the tune file at the transmission folder/segment, D1201-4 will indicate that it is a 4L80E...

post your tune file ( see post #2 here: Hosting-an-Image (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?3064-Hosting-an-Image) ).

No worries, we're all noobs at some time or other

how can i pm you the whole tune file so maybe you can ehm see what was "tampered" with on my yukon. says 4l80e not what is listed in glove box 4l85e... maybe tune discription is for same trann. i dont have copy of the original tune to compare to... no tuner notes either, he wants to charge me to help me (pay for flight.. and tune help (racket)ha ha ha ) it seems he just messed with torq. limits...

4L80E and 4L85E have the same description.
