Hello Newbie here trying to get this L92 with VVT on an E38 ECM and a cam to work with the 4 speed tranny.

I have posted a few times and ended up with a tuner helping me locally who uses HP tuners. I lent him my EFI live and we dynoed this log. He has hit a brick wall on this issue.

No DTC's.
Fuel pump is Walbro 255 and is plenty.
Limiters turned off.

There is a torque limiter signal coming from the TCM. The throttle is closing at high rpm and spark is retarding 6 degrees.

John at Speartech had this to say:

"Yes the tune is all based on an original T42 tune for a 4L60E trans. If you are hitting a TM limiter, it may be coming from a table that HPT hasn't located yet. It might be best if you log the TM happening and send the log file to HPT and ask them if they can tell where it is coming from.

We've run into that before on different files."

HP tuners indicated this fix was not high on their priority list since its apparantly not a regular issue.

Any help appreciated. Thanks so much for all your past efforts to help me.

Warmest regards,

Pat
