Hi Guys, Nubee here and I ant you to know I want to learn and realize I must, before I do anything. If it can be messed up I am one who will find the way to get it done in a learning process. I had an in person tune with Justin a few days ago and also bought the AutoCal. I would like to understand all the Acronyms and codes, tables, adjustible variances etc. I would like to know if there is a place on this site that will let me download all the terms and codes in this thread? I also would like a tutorial on maps and what a change in each cell up+ or down- does. In short I do not want to bore a buch of guys getting me to lingo and minimal understand of how this all works. The electrical/electronic/computer processing aspect of all this I must learn.
I am an older guy that wants to know and understand my stock maps and settings as well as my new tune and all the changes and why. I have a mecanical background, carb engine rebuild background, along with fuel and oil background as a Oil Refining Catalytic Cracking Unit operator. I have a good knowledge of who the "Air Pump" works and why,but very little on this end of the control process.
I know I should have started a new thread/subject but this is my First Tune and I want to understand it and The why of it all. Thank in advance for any links/books to get me there, MPC

Also, read the scantool and tunetool user manual pdf's (included with installation of V7 software).

Acronyms: most of these can be found in Greg Banish's tuning books.
