I was playing with the scanner the other day and when I was reading the balanced flow rates, i would get some odd numbers. 4 of the 6 injectors were around 0.0 to 0.6. The other two would be at 4450 or so. I didn't know if the negative values weren't correct or something of that sort.

Did you have to many PIDS loaded? If you load to many PIDS it can only display so many and the extras will have some sort of wierd number show up in them.

I don't think so. I had balanced flows and commanded fuel. It was only 14 channels.

Can you send the *.efi log file that shows the strange values to me at paul@efilive.com
I'll see if I can figure out what is going on.

Even better, if you can log the data again and when you see the strange values in the log file, stop the log immediately.
Then generate an error report (File->Generate Error Report), save the error report, save the log file and send both files to me.

I have connected to 3 different trucks. 2) 2007 and 1) 2006. And all three trucks have shown not accurate numbers. The only PID selection I have set up is fuel system

Mine as well shows 3 injectors are really high balance rates and the other 3 normal rates

Mine are showing cyl #1,4 & 5 in the 4400 range, then all go to 0.0 when the TP gets to about 40%. I have 2 other trucks in my shop that show the same data. Is everybode else showing the same data? Having this tool to our disposal will help with injector diagnoses, if it is accurate.

This was my reason for trying this...I'm trying to diagnose a smoke issue, and accurate balance rates will help me to figure out if I've got a injector going out.

IIRC 1,2,6 show 1.xx and 3,4,5 show 4400.

Anybody scan commanded fuel with and without balance rates notice that there is a difference between the two.

This difference also messes with my duration tables on decel...balance rate mm3 is high enough that my pulse goes from 0uS to 250+ constantly on decel.

I think it's tied to balance rate mm3.

I have been playing with the fuel pressure and noticed the balance rate changes to different cyl. But they balance out quicker with less TP%.

I will recheck the PID definitions on the scanner for the balance rates.

That would be awesome Ross....

I am in need of accurate balance rates right now to try to diagnose a possible injector that is either weak or has internal failure.

They were wrong, positive adjustments would have shown fine, but negative would show crazy numbers. It's all fixed for the next update.
