error $0194

Got the latest updates but i cant flash tunes via sd card bbx.i was told i had to program the v2,but when i hit the program button it starts to program but get a error $0194 write failure.........
any help??

Format the CONFIG filesystem before programming the device as it is most likely you are running out of space on the device. To format the CONFIG space click on the small down arrow on the 'Program' button and you'll see an option. Once that is done just click the 'Program' button (like normal) and I think it will go through OK.

ok thanks that worked but still cant flash tunes to my truck via v2 sd card, i get a $050b error it says scrip file not supported by current firmware version im runing 2.07.11.also when i try to drag a tunning file to sd card i get $0185 file folder not found?? any ideas??

The $050B error indicates that the V8 software version and the device firmware and scripts are not matching. To resolve this you need to update the V8 software to the latest on our website, program the new firmware and then program the FlashScan V2 device (to copy down the needed files).

The $0185 error indicates that a folder path was not found. If you are using an SD Card make sure of the following:
1) That the settings on FlashScan V2 are configured to use the card (SD Card or Auto).
2) Format the SD Card in the FlashScan V2. Unless you do this (for instance if you formatted on a PC or just took from a digital camera) the necessary folder structure for EFILive won't be present.

ok THANKS!! got it to work by downloading v8 again and updating firmware thanks again.now down to $0185 problem,setting on v2 is on auto.how can i format the sd card on the v2?

With the SD Card inserted in the FlashScan V2, press the 'F4->F2->F3' on the FlashScan V2 keypad and then select 'Yes' to initiate the filesystem format. Then you "should" be able to copy files to your device using EFILive Explorer.

- do you get any error messages?
- do you see the LCD screen change from XXX to SD1, SD2, SDH etc on card insertion?
- Has the SD Card been formatted in FlashScan?

sorry no error code,sd card is formatted for efilive,just sd card is not detecting on v2

tHREAD WAS A BIG HELP. dOWNLOADED LATEST v7.5 aND v8. gOT THE $0194 ERROR WITH THE FIRMWARE UPDATE. fORMATTED THE sd CARD AND HAD TO REBOOT v2 AND cLOSE AND RESTART v* BUT ALL IS GOOD. fILES WERE UPDATED and V2 is working.
