Does it exist? I get the "unsupported" message after doing the dsp5 upgrade.\
This is a 4500-5500 truck.

Sorry, it doesn't exist. If I recall there was something odd about that particular OS that made it impossible to perform the DSP mods to. It is non standard compared to all other Bosch Duramax OS's.

I wonder then, what happens when you put a LD os in a MD truck (LMM).

I'm not sure, but 12617083 was the OS release prior to the oddball MD, that might be your best bet.

Just woundering if anyone has tried using a light truck operating system in a kodiak with os 12620015 would like to have the dsp5 but seems it might not be doable.thx

Nope, any VAN or Kodiak will not work at all with a Pickup single or DSP2 or DSP5 tune.

You have to use correct OS for that Kodiak Only single tunes only.

It just will not work

Its simply because the starter relay control is wired differently on the GMT-560 (kodiak) and GMT-610 (van).

Pickup cals are setup to use a high side driver in the ECM (mapped to pin XYZ on one of the ECM connectors) to apply 12v to the coil of the starter relay. Kodiak/van use a low side driver (mapped to a different pin) to apply ground to the coil of the starter relay.

Change some wires around in the harness, OR poke around in the ECM binary (to tell it which starter relay hardware config to use) and it should be easy to make a pickup OS work in a kodiak....

I believe Josh said he did just this with the dumpster van so he could run DSP5 on it.

That is funny, I don't know why but it is.

Can anyone confirm this? is the start relay the only problem?
