Can somebody please explain,

how to get a PID working to monitor oil pressure for LS1-B.
I am not a computer nerd and would need someone kind enough to lead me through it in simple terms or send me the correct PID.

It used to be on the PID list in earlier versions of V7 and I remember asking about it when it was dis-continued, but after a few empty searches I gave up trying to find the original thread where I had first asked about this. :)

I can find the PID for oil pressure? Found engine oil life though, thats gotta be a top pid for logging! lol

The latest software version has a calculated PID to display this. The LS1 PCM doesn't actually report back oil pressure, only the sensor voltage, so you need to log the sensor voltage and then use the calculated PID to show a real value.

The calc pid for oil pressure in psi shows up if you enter an LS1 Corvette VIN (e.g. enter 1G1YY at File->Enter VIN).

With the Camaro/Firebird, you have to enable OPS in G1207 in order for the PCM to use the EOPS that you wired to the PCM connector.

I spoke with Paul, he disabled the calc pid for vehicles that did not have it wired from the factory (e.g. Camaro/Firebird)... this was long before tables G1206/G1207 showed up... now that these tables showed up, it would be nice to not have to tell the PCM that it's a Corvette (i.e. in scantool VIN and in tunetool G1206).

i.e. feature request: can we enter the correct F-body VIN and have the calc pid show up. :)

What about the trucks how do we do them?

Check the wiring diagram for your truck, if the OPS feeds the PCM then you already have it.

If not can one just tap into and bring to pcm and if so what pin would it be?

Yes, see post #4 above (you will have to enter a suitable VIN in the scantool File->Enter VIN).

What pin would that be?

Guess everyone is having the same luck looking?

Don't know if it applies to all trucks but some have OP signal input at the PCM on pin #58. It's a tan/white wire. Same one you'll see at the OP sensor itself.
