You have to double check the PCM connector pinouts.

joe I blamed that for the first 4 pcms I checked again and again . so to be sure I changed the wiring loom for a 2002, so I am very comfortable that isn't the problem

How different is your tune file from stock...?

Did you modify the "red" folder ETC tables...?

Red ETC folders appear ONLY when you have your FlashScan plugged into your PC BEFORE opening the tune file. :D

This is getting really strange now,I have those exact codes in my RR pcm now.And I did the same thing awhile back,97 pcm to a 99-02 pcm.I had the RR for a few years now,Since I put the super charger on I have been getting problems.

We're working on a problem in the V7.5.7.167 and earlier software that could cause those problems.
Don't flash anymore PCMs until update V7.5.7.168 has been released.

Is this for full flash only...?

Is this for full flash only...?
All flashes.

There are situations where the V7 editor software does not catch/update changes to the ETC tables which can cause the ECM to permanently fail with P0606.
We're working on fixing it right now, I hope a new release will be up tonight.

I figured out my problem with the RR pcm.The table in the red folder B2713 ETC max position for idle,I had it set @ 10% and it just did not like it,So I raised to 17% stock is 18% and no more 0606 & 1518 so far. When I was NA I had that set @ 10% for the longest time without a problem,Oh well it works now.You can beat the piss out of that RR pcm and it still come's back to life

Just for everyone's benefit...

If your regular PCMs give code P0606 then the PCM cannot be reprogrammed via the OBDII connection - it is effectively permanently locked.
Obviously a RR PCM will not be locked like that because it is programmed using the RR connection, not the OBDII connection.

If you've recently changed any throttle tables (the red ones) and the PCM is not yet setting P0606, then I highly recommend not reprogramming them, and especially not starting or running the engine with those PCMs. The EFILive software is not saving/updating the ETC tables correctly. When the ETC tables are incorrect, the PCM waits for about 50-60 errors to occur then permanently* locks the PCM. So it may seem ok for a minute or two, but then it will fail.

I'll post more info on what to do with the regular PCMs when I release the update.

* GM have set the controllers up to permanently lock the ECM from being reprogrammed so that dealers can't simply re-flash over a PCM that has failed due to faulty throttle hardware/software.
Its a legal/safety thing - I presume.

We are working on recovery options for customers affected by this problem and we will definitely replace the VIN licenses for any controller that requires recovering.
Please send me an email to paul@efilive.com with details of which controllers have been locked down with the P0606 fault code.
