Tried to scan a car today 2003 VY SS manual Ute. Car has a HPT locked tune in it.My problem was that I had trouble validating PID's that normally work. Could this have been caused by the tune in the vehicle?
There was also a fair DTC list as well, strange thing is they are all auto trans codes and this car is manual.
Screen shots attached.

It's possible because quite a number of PID's are OS dependent, if EFILive doesn't recognise the OS number then it can't configure the PID's correctly.
What's to say the previous tuners didn't just throw in an Auto file, it happens.

Ok thanks for that.
Funny thing was, when I removed the locked computer from the vehicle it had a PCMTECH business card stuck to it.
I was quite ammused.:hihi:

That is funny, it was probably sent to be unlocked, then it gets locked again. I see that a bit from WA, there is one VZ LS1 PCM I've seen 4 times to be unlocked from different shops!! It has something written on the case that identifies it.
