Have a new laptop. Running windows 7. :(
Started off i had to downgrade the usb thing other wise whenever plugged in it would be frozen.
I then got it to check OK. Tryin to read a trucks tune before update to dsp5. Well I get an error. I've tried to upgrade the boot and firmware but nothing is working for me.
I plug in the v2 and it sees it there then turns to not responding. I have uploaded a bunch of screen shots attempting to show how everything is failing... :help2::help2:
Thx

Can you please locate the matching *.blx file that should have been logged when you attempted to read the controller.
The file will be be in the folder called \My Documents\EFILive\V7.5\Bug Reports\
and called something like YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS_upload.blx
where YYYYMMDD is the year, month and day, and HHMMSS is the hour, minute and second that you attempted to read the controller.
Please email me that file to
[email protected]

It looks like the truck already has a DSP5 tune in it. If that is the case then there is no way to read the tune out.
All DSP5 tunes are protected from reading. You should be able to flash over it with a new tune if you want to.
You can verify if it is a DSP5 tune or not by checking the Operating System Number of the controller in the V7 Tune Tool on the menu: Flash->Show PCM Info.
If the OS number starts with the digit "5" then it is a DSP5 tune.

Also, try removing the high speed option. It should help with the process.

Learning alot with this, will try that high speed thing. That was my truck. I was attempting to read it to keep my buddy from driving over just for it to fail. Well in that case will have to call him up and try his truck. My truck is a dsp 5 tune.
Will keep you posted, thanks alot for all the assistance.
