I am having trouble tuning my 4th gear TCC lockup.

Its very irregular. Vehicle is a 2000 silverado with 6.0 LQ4/TVS 1900 blower and a 2004 4L80E with a P I 2600 Multi disc stall.

It will lock , converter is brand new, did the segment swap, shifts great.

I read a post by a guy having the same problem, he has hptuners, they told him to " make the "Performance" Apply/Release tcc lockup tables the same as Normal and cruise.

Set p0300 to 3- No error reported.
You also need to go to Trans Diag > TCC Set Max Slip Rpm to 3000."

I made all my apply and realese table the same mph, still have irregular lockup.

I also looked for p0300 in the transmission DTC codes but couldnt find it???

Any help on what to change in my tables would be appreciated, its driving me nutz not having regular lockup!!!

Check that the brake switch is not intermittent.

Thank you Joe, i have wandered bout that, i find myself using my foot to pull back on the brake pedal to make sure its not sticking, any other way to tell if its bad?? Or is it just a good idea to replace it??

Never had any lockup issues with my 65E.

One of the TSTATE pids shows the state of the brake switch;

and, also, another TSTATE pid shows the reason why the TCC was unlocked.

There are TSTATEs listed in my PID list with No description, Which ones are they?

I see # 00 thru 12 and 13 14 15 16 17 18 52 58 59 60 61 64 67.

Sorry but i dont know what each of these does. Thanks!!

If you do rightclick->More Info on each pid you will see a description.

TSTATE00-12 are for the 4L60E/4L80E.

TSTATE00 indicates brake switch position.
TSTATE09-10 indicate TCC off reason.
