Hello JST,

A 2006 GMC Yukon would have rolled off the assembly line using an LS1-B PCM to control the engine and transmission. A 2007 model would have used an E38 ECM and T43 TCM (6L80 transmission) or a T42 TCM (4L65 transmission).

If you have doubts as to the actual vehicle model year - visually confirm the PCM (or ECM) - either will be mounted under the hood, on the drivers side, near the battery.

If the truck is a 2006 model, using a PCM, when you attempt to connect with the Scan Tool - select "LS1B Gen III 99-08 PCM" from the controller drop down menu options.

Regards,
Taz

Id check the VIN both on the dashboard and on the drivers side door, if they match then Id bet its an 07.

Easy way to tell, is it a new body style Yukon or old body style? OBS = LS1B 1MB PCM, NBS = E38 2MB ECM + T42 (4speed) or T43 (6speed) trans.
