I plugged in todAY to flash a car and the v2 wont sync with the tune program.Tried two different usb cables, also did the latest updates and checked firmware. All is newest version, checked for updates and installed and still same issue.I tried my other v2 same issue, worked 2 days ago haha. The status bar gets locked up about 1/4 way and never responds.any info would be great.Thanks.FYI the scan tool works but freezes when i try to stop program.

Nate,

manually download/install from the downloads page at www.efilive.com... and then using V8 S&T software, program all BBx files into V2 again.

After downloading and re-installing like Joe said, don't do the "check for new updates" - the update may be causing the problems.

Can you find the matching *.htx file in the folder:
\My Documents\EFILive\V8\Trace.
The file will be called something like this: E38_W_20110603_154924.htx
Where the E38 will be code for the controller you are attempting to flash.
The "W" means write (i.e. flash)
The 20110603 is the year, month and day
The 154924 is the hour, minute and second
that you attempted the reflash.
Please send that file to me at paul@efilive.com

One other thing to try if you have not already is to download the USB Manager from the Utilities section here:
http://www.efilive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=133
and install the V2.02.04 USB drivers.

...
Open V8 S&T Software, goto F5:BBX, click the down arrow on the right side of the Program button and
select Program ALL Required Data (slower), and let it finish.

You may need to switch on tracing in the EFILive HAPI program. See image for required settings.

Hi there,

Can you please email me (support@efilive.com). Just include for my benefit a very quick summary of the problem you're still having (after all the "stuff" you've attempted) and I'll see what I can do. I'll email you back with some instructions.

Cheers,
