I am using LS1 style resonant knock sensors screwed into the sides of my LSX block. With the stock settings for the original engine(Gen III 5.3) they would not picking up any knock activity. I have switched B6243 from "Cylinder Mode" to "Engine Mode" and filled in the related tables. After some desensitizing adjustments I am now logging more typical episodes of knock under steady state conditions. I still never see anything under WOT conditions, but there is a heck of a lot of other noise at WOT.
What are the differences between engine mode and cylinder mode? I am assuming that engine mode is more appropriate for my setup.
