Would you use a tablet to tune?

Still debating if its more help or more cumbersome than a laptop.

Currently I use an HP Dv7-6143cl to tune. Lots of power, but also big. I have always wished I could use the iPad to tune but efilive is windows based.

Along there is this PAD

I like its powerful for this sort of stuff.. but... would it be cumbersome to enter numbers. Would it be a hindrance more than useful?

To be honest, if I was to customise an ideal "tuning platform" it'd be a laptop with dual touch screens....

If the OS of the tablet is set up correctly, it should identify "text input boxes" and bring up the virtual keyboard when you tap the box. So it shouldn't be too bad. Additionally you should be able to use a bluetooth keyboard to input data. So a tablet would be OK, with the right accessories. My biggest concern though is back to "screen real-estate. For me, the more the better, hence why I'd like a laptop with dual screens ( one for scan tool and one for tune tool ). However I do admit that I probably spend more time in scan tool than the tune tool.

Woa... what laptop do you have that has dual screens??? That is one of the main reasons I moved from a 15.4 screen to a 17.3 screened laptop. Aside from the full keypad. One of "advantages?" would be to "loose" the mouse and use the touch interface. Perhaps that PAD, since it comes with a keyboard, might be useful. But as you said. We have dropped to a 12.1 screen. Hmm....

Imagine yourself inside a car, driving with a laptop in your lap... NO wonder cars are STRAPPED down.. otherwise.... to the wall :( jajajaja

That last one looks interesting...

My only wish for efilive right now would be to have a "disconnect" button next to the start button of the flash screen :) that way it would be a quickly view with both screens and start a flash.

im liking that iconia... I wonder if i can configure which keys I want on that screen??? that would really make it awesome... I would also love to integrate the hardware of the efilive onto this! and just the ethernet cable out.
