How do I go back to stock OS?

I had a 12212156 OS upgraded to a 02020003. I can't get it to idle at all, after messing with it too much I wanted to start over. Full flashed the original .tun and no calibrations show up. I just did another full flash but the batteries died during cranking so didn't get a chance to see if it started...on the charger now.

Is there a step I'm missing to go back to stock OS?

its on a '98 burb, w/ 0411 pcm swap.

:help2:

I'm lost. lol

I got it back to stock, started over with COS5.

It won't idle, but at least with COS5 I'm running too rich(around 11:1) instead of lean (17:1) on COS3

Its a '98 Burb with 0411/marine/whipple with 36lb LS1 EV6 injectors from Jon @ FIC

What pids should I be logging to find my idle issue?

I've read so many different threads I can't focus anymore :wallbash:

**forgot to add the tune

TIA

When you have the stock 12212156 in the PCM, does the engine run properly...?

Did you cal only flash

Did you follow the COS upgrade tutorial and the COS5.txt notes...?

You have to fix the out-of-range cells in A0012, A0013 (set them to 511).

You are using Lambda units, so your B3647 is way lean from 70 kPa and up...

Your B3618 is set to stoich... set it to the same value as the last several columns of B3647.

Set B3609 to zero.

the 12212156 ran fine until I added headers, marine intake, and the whipple lol

I followed the COS upgrade for 3 and it ran too lean wouldn't idle....same cal only flash after the cos5 upgrade and its rich...strange

I'll set the cells, but no OOR was showing up, how did you see those?

changed B3618

changed B3609

Thanks for the guidance Joe, I'll try those in a little while

On a side note, the kPa from the MAP with the 1 bar sensor was 101 KOEOff, I had to up the scaler to 195 with the new 2 Bar to match the 101kPa, does that sound correct?

Hi Jerry,

OOR on A0012/13 doesn't show up in the OOR tab, but you can see those two cells have blue dogears.

Yes, with the 2-bar MAP sensor you have to pretty much double the scaler so that MAP shows same as barometric pressure with KOnEOff.

With B3647 set like you did, it should start and idle ok (like it did on 12212156, right?), but opening the throttle would have run lean...

set your fueling units to EQ and redo B3647.

Also, B3616 is too restrictive, you want something like the 2002 F-car B3616, you want PE to enable easier...

you want B3618 to match the last few columns of B3647 just in case you ever enable Closed Loop

(i.e. in OL the richer of B3547/B3618 controls WOT fueling, but in CL B3618 controls WOT fueling).

I tried the adjustments, same story, 10.5:1 no idle.

I just went back to the 12212156 changing just the inj tables, Map scaler, and turning off egr.

Still no idle. more towards 14.5 but can't take my foot off the pedal. if the tps is under 2%, it stalls

I see the changes your recommending for earlier PE and WOT, but I need it to idle by itself.

I thought about doing these steps:

feels more like desperation though, as that talks about big cams, and was solved by a mail order tune.

I think my brain was mush the other day, I completely misread these steps. Having another look(after a break) makes more sense.

Anyway, started on them last night, the BIDI controls don't do anything for the rpms.....I can change it to any number and it makes no difference(after activating it). Should it?

It should... are you selecting the right PCM, and are you clicking the Activate button...?

I think so, if I didn't select the right pcm, would I be able to tune or scan(not sarcasm, just checking)? I pick the 99-06 or whatever year it ends

yes, activate.

then the check mark in the box(cant remember the label off-hand, going to look now)

If I move IAC, I can see the AFR change.

If i activate the timing it bogs, so some things work, but I can choose any rpm and nothing happens.

Dvt w/ IAC counts set to 80 - Data tab shows 80

Click rpm....data still shows IAC@ 80 steps

Joe,

It idles fine.

I sooo want to kick my own ass right now.

I bought the whipple used. It was already put together and even had the old throttle body and bracket on it for cruise and gas pedal. During the first few days that it wouldn't idle, I thought maybe it was from a different year and set up different so I swapped out for my stock one.

Never checked the gasket. Since its on a stud i left it on and just swapped the throttle bodies.

sure enough, I take it off, and the TOP side is not up. :cussing:

On a side note, the BIDI controls work fine now

Thanks for the help, patience, and I'm sure I'll have more questions, I just hope they're not as stupid as this.
