Did you update to the newest software and firmware if not do so. That should fix it. How to update go to start, all programs look for EFILive high light V7 drop to tools check for updates than high light firmware programmer do the same for V8 update

If that does not work uninstall V7 and V8 then reboot and reinstall V7 and V8

Could you please attempt to read the ECM using the V8 software? if it fails please see this knowledgebase article (http://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=8254-QOGC-9586) and send me (support@efilive.com) the file relating to the failed attempt.

Please download the pre-release version which has been pretty comprehensively tested. It is available from our forum thread HERE (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?17096-Release-Candidate-2-Aug-19-2011).

You need to download both the V7 and V8 versions and update your FlashScan V2 bootblock/firmware with the versions included in the V8 install.

Here are a couple of knowledgebase articles relating to software and firmware updates for future reference:
- Software updates (http://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=5404-IJZV-0820) (get from forum thread this time though).
- Firmware updates (http://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=7243-SFGL-2949)

If you still have issues please see THIS (http://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=8254-QOGC-9586) knowledgebase article and email me (support@efilive.com) with the trace information (just the file for the failed flash). Please try both V7 and V8 flashes.

Cheers,

I am having a similar issue on an 04 LB7 today, when trying to read it made it to initializing ECM Step 4 then said ECM returned to normal operation, bootloader step three, then gave me the bootloader rejected message. i have tried everything short of unistalling and reinstalling software, pulled fuses, disconnected remote start completely, powered down rebooted v2 and pc. Neither V7 or V8 would read it and i checked status said unsecured, and i have the latest software build 180 bootblock and and firmware are up to date
