I am putting together an L92 Engine and would like to get some opinions on the best ECM to support:

1. Flex fuel operation.
2. Variable Valve Timing.
3. Displacement on Demand.

I was thinking the E38 would be the most likely candidate, but does anyone have other suggestions? Why?

E67 is another option. From what I understand, an E67 can do everything the E38 can plus VPW comms (E38 is CAN only).

If its a swap project and you dont need the backwards compatibility of the VPW comms the E67 offers, then its probably easier to run a year-matched E38, L92, APP, throttle body, etc with an Escalade/Silverado/Sierra/Suburban OS/Cal.

Thanks, but I the very reason I bought the engine was to gain insight into DOD and Variable Valve Timing. I am an engineer and this is for work. I did purchase an E-38. Now waiting on a harness.
