Trying to get a feel for whether an e37 is the right computer for my project:

GM 4.3L V6 w/ multi-port injectors (mercruiser marine intake manifold)
250Kpa Map sensor (No MAF!)
GM DBW Throttle Body
GM wasted spark ignition with 58x crank sensor and 4x cam sensor
SINGLE knock sensor provision in block
No catalytic converter
Garrett GT35r Turbo w/ wastegate controlled by PWM Solenoid Valve

I would really like to control the turbo wastegate with the ECM. I know the e37 was used on the supercharged ecotec engines and believe their bypass valves are controlled by pwm solenoid.

Any thoughts?

The E37 would be the best ECM choice because GM already had it set up for the 4.3L V6. It ticks most of your boxes except the wastegate control, the E37 wasn't used on any supercharged applications, you are thinking about the P12.

Hey, thanks for your response.

I gather that the E37 can be made to run with only (1) oxygen sensor and (1) knock sensor?

As for boost control I guess I can handle that with a standalone unit.

If it was a 4 cylinder :doh2:
I'm not sure it would be happy running a V engine with just one O2 sensor.
