I got cocky and thought of downloading firmware to my LC-1
which was rather stupid of me :bash: and now my LC-1 is quite dead :bawl:

I should know better, which makes me twice as stupid.

SO DON'T THINK ABOUT DOING WHAT I DID.
Hopefully I can save someone the trouble.

Innovate Motorsports are going to fix me up; they are very nice, and I thank them.

man i tell ya...computers of any sort all work the same way... if they are working leave em alone...if they aren't working try and fix them..otherwise leave em the hell alone...

I hope you get your LC-1 back soon, glad you posted though and brought this up.

No, wrong, I get deeper into holes within holes...:muahaha:

Innovate Motorsports fixed it up and sent it back, they were very nice and didn't question my stupidity.

Like the old computer proverb says:

"If it’s not broken, don't touch it"

(Which also includes anything electrical) and I vouch for this with a few dead motherboards from firmware upgrades for the hell of it.

Hot swapping the bios chip was an easy task to do a few years ago.

Impossible to do now.
