I am trying to flash an 02 gmc over to a dsp5 OS. I installed the switch and have verfied that the switch pin is in the correct position and I grounded the ground wire to the truck. When I flash the Dsp 5 file into the truck it loads correctly and the truck will start and run fine for about 15-20 seconds then it will die and relays under the hood start clicking. the truck will not restart while the relays are clicking, but if you turn the switch off for 15 seconds and let it reset, it will start and run until it dies again and the clicking returns. I have pulled all the proper fuses and flashed the truck about 5 times with the same results. I can flash it back to the stock os and it runs fine no problems. Anybody seen this before?

Ok, I think I fixed it myself. Switched to a different OS and it loaded and runs fine.

Yeah 02 has a certain OS that will not take a DSP setup..can't.remember which OS it is but obviously you found it.

You'll need to flash in the 6006 op system.

I've also found that some trucks either have not been returned completely to stock or something, and if you flash over the top of whatever is left in the ECM it can cause it to shut down. Had that happen on two trucks, both were 2001 LB7's. One had a Hypertech installed previously and the other a Bully Dog.

But I flashed in the 86006 OS and they all worked perfect as well.
