"For the 2012 models we expect the new Chev Sonic to be using the E83 as well (and the E78 on the 1.4L Turbo). This car is based on GM's Gamma II platform which is the replacement for the Aveo."

I am almost sure this is the case because the engines are 100% identical, but can we get some confirmation that the Sonic 1.4t will be supported as soon as it comes put? Since it's an E78? When will it be added to the official list :)

It seems that they weight around 2800 lbs compared to the Cruze's around 3200, so I am definitely leaning a LOT toward a Sonic as my next eco-rocket :)

As soon as we have a read we'll know what can be done as far as adding support. We can't add support on speculation :). However, if it is using the E78 it will be some slight variation of any other 2012 OS they are using with that ECM so support is certainly possible.
There is a few Sonic's starting to pop up on the internet but these are the 1.8L, which I suspect will be the E83.

You know, I know a guy that can read you any '12 E78 or E83 :) But that guy is mostly interested in 1.4t tuning, so I suppose the Sonic will be E78 with new OS, and I will send those within weeks as soon as possible. Don't need any more variations of E83, right? There are lots of crap Aveo laying around here...

All good for E83 reads thanks, a Sonic Turbo would be nice when you see one though, I would be 99% sure it's going to be using the E78.

Update: "we" have some in stock now, but they are 1.8 so I won't bother. I WILL get you a turbo read. People are reporting healthy gains on the E78 Cruze. Around a max of 50 wheel horsepower and more torque, acceleration times are dropping like a rock... while in reality these are heavy, hot running little cars with tiny engines and turbos, I have huge expectations for the market. They will sell millions of these, I like them so far and look forward to tuning and finding the limits. Thanks a lot for Cruze support, we love it, and thanks in advance for the 1.4t Sonic and T76 AT, you can count on me! :)
