I have a Gen 1 Vortec 383 with a MPFI intake and 27LB EV6 LS3 style injectors. I am running into issues with starting the engine and have changed everything that i can think of to resolve this issue. The injectors were not designed for this OS of 12212156 and thus the injector tables have been modified to accommodate this. I am using a COS5 operating system of 02020005.

These are LS3 injectors from an 2003+ corvette engine. Anyone have any recommendations for changing these injectors? Or if i should keep these and change what on the tune to make them work?

Hello Onegonewild,

Your tune uses a fuel rail type fuel pressure regulator - EV6 tunes did not. I believe EV6 injectors were not used on the Corvette until 2005 (E40 ECM) and the LS3 was not available until 2008.

Where are your injectors from specifically ?

Typo on my behalf. 2005 is the correct year. Cant the IFR be modified for referenced?

If you are certain the injectors are from a 2005 Corvette - try entering 4.5660 g/s in all cells of B4001 in your tune. It would be beneficial to take a look at a stock 2005 Corvette tune for some insight into other injectors parameters - i.e. minimum pulse width, small pulse adjust, any other relevant modifier, etc.

I believe there is a 2005 Corvette tune on the Tune File Depot website.

Lets say I want to dump these injectors and purchase some new ones. Any recommendations?

Is there a simple way to adapt new injectors to a 2002 GMC Savana tune that originally had the Vortec spider? Just looking for some tips here in case i decide to change the injectors out to larger ones.

You should be able to use virtually any injector you wish - as long as you also obtain relevant data with the injectors. You will need to populate the following in your tune with data from your "new" injectors:

B3701
B3702
B3703
B3704
B4001
B4002
B4003
B4004
B4005
B4006
Replacement injectors accompanied with limited / no data are virtually worthless.

Crap! I purchased Bosch 27lb Blue top injectors about a year ago for this and all I have is the IFR.

Im going to purchase new ones and am guessing i would need between 25-32lb injectors. I have EV6 connectors on my harness. Any recommendations for a replacement here?

Apparently these injectors are actually Bosch and compatible with the GM platform. According to Jon at FIC, these are new design LS1 injectors that are matched to the 2002 Camaro. Basically I will just copy over the injector tables and modify the IFR according to my return style fuel system.

For future reference, these are Bosch 028155849 with a Ford part number XF1E-A5B.

Thanks for the help to all!
