ECM not detected.....HELP!

I was trying to get my tune out and it said "ecm not detected". Anyone know what could cause this? I'm suppose to get it back on a dyno in a couple days and swap out the intake for a fast 90 / 42lb inj. and need to tune a little. I doubled checked my connections and everything seemed good. The computer recognized and communicated with the flashscan cable.

What OS are you running on the computer?

I found I have to run in admin mode in Vista and Windows 7 or I get that message sometimes.

It looks like you are trying to read an E38 with a V1 cable. This is not possible, the V1 cannot communicate on the CAN bus the E38 uses.
