I have a battery cutoff switch and I like to just switch it off after every drive so no drain on the battery if my weekend warrior ends up sitting for a few weeks.

my question is.... is their any relearning the pcm has to do with an open loop speed density tune?

And what parameters are learned on a closed loop tune, just long term fuel trims?

There is idle learning.

There is idle learning.

can you tell me more about what goes on in the idle learning process or do you have a link? I can leave the battery hooked up if its important/useful

I have found this works, to help the idle relearn much quicker after battery disconection.

Turn ign switch on , don't start.
depress accellerator to the floor.
let accellerator off.
turn ign off
repeat the above

The start engine, you won't get the surging idle etc that you would if you didn't do the above procedure.
