Bootloader Error $80

I got my EFI Live and wanted to flash the ecm and came up with a checksum error and said it wouldnt flash. I figured I needed to flash the computer with a new stock tune I read about on cumminsforum and downloaded the tune I needed. I went to flash the ecm and it goes through the initalization then says bootloader error and reason is $80. Any help would be appreciated

Are you able to read the ECM? Did you make sure to have the key turned all the way to on with the engine off?

yes key is all the way forward..It reads fine and goes through 3 of the 4 pcm initializations then send the bootloader error

"3 of the 4 pcm initializations" that sounds like you are using V7.5 software to try and flash your Cummins?
If so V7 won't flash a Cummins, only V8 will.

Read and full flash with v8 scan and tune, modify tunes in v7.5 tune tool. Log in v7.5 scan tool.
