I recently bought a V2. I have been having problems with my throttle body and was suggested to access B2307, and B2308. I have tried numerous times, and the folder is simply not showing up when I open the file. I have a friend with a V2, and called him. He was able to open my tune to access the Electronic Throttle folder on his computer with his V2, and I can not open it on mine. My computer and V2 are updated to the newest versions. Does anyone know why this would happen. I have a new V2 thatis blue in color, and he has the black one.

You have to have the V2 plugged into the computer before you open the Tune Tool.

I have tried that. I have had it unplugged, plugged, and plugged into the OBDII and laptop before I start it and it never comes up. My friend can just plug it into his laptop, and it comes right up.

Does the Tune tool see the V2? If you go to Help => Autocal - V2 VIN Licensing do you see the serial number and the available VINs?

If not, try this:

Go to Start => All Programs => EFILive => V8 => Tools => USB Manager Might be in V7.5 => Tools also, depends on version.

If it's Vista or W7 right click and use Run as Administrator, for XP, you can just click.

Unplug your V2, choose the big uninstall button, when that finishes, click the Install 2.02.04 Button and when that finishes plug in the V2, wait for the drivers to install and try again.

Install the latest software and firmware, there was a glitch that was fixed recently regarding this problem for blue V2s.

Is there firmware newer than 14 (I don't have it in front of me, but believe it ends in 14).

The current V7/V8 software is build 178/168 and the current firmware is 2.07.21... see here: Release-Candidate-2-Aug-19-2011 (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?17096-Release-Candidate-2-Aug-19-2011)

The update worked perfectly. I assumed because I did the update that searched online I would be fine. Downloading the files did the trick.
