99 silverado 1500, I am not using the low oil level sensor anymore and wondering how to disable it in the tune so it doesnt display on the dash. Can't find the p code, wondering if there is one I can set to not show? Or do I need to fool the pigtail with a jumper/resistor?

Found on ls1tech that it's just a switch (though I see no contacts anywhere, just a plastic drum floating on a shaft...?). Supposedly a jumper wire is all that is needed so I will test the switch and make a jumper and see how we do.

Hello John,
I am wanting to do the same thing. Please keep me posted on your outcome.

Thanks,
Glenn

I still can't tell how it works but it is just a switch. The circuit opens when oil level falls, closes when oil level raises above the sensor. I cut the sensor up and popped the connector out of it, soldered the connections together, taped it up and attached it to the end on the vehicle and now it is satisfied, no oil level warning. Alternately you could just put a jumper wire on or cut the pigtail from the vehicle and splice the wires together.
