It is doable on the LB7 by shutting the codes off for MAF and IAT, maxing out the test tables for MAF and IAT, and then maxing out the MAF limiting fuel tables. For the LLY I have heard that it's ECM doesn't play that well without the MAF and can have some wierd quirks when you remove it, and don't know about the newer ones but I believe it is doable on the LBZ similiar to that of the LB7.

How would you keep it with twin turbos (compound turbos) like a GT55
The Banks road race truck has one on each side like a gas engine. (parallel)

BANKS is using the BOSCHstand-alone controller on there stuff, so that is how they do that. Others run without it entirely, but it requires alot of tuning to get around. For those that keep it it isn't that hard to get a larger MAF housing as the MAF sensor in teh diesel isn't like a gasser as it is just slides into the air intake pip whereas the gasser one is part of the intake pipe. You can simply get a larger pipe and install the M<AF probe into it and then rescale the MAF to work with the larger pipe.
