Are you connecting using V2 and laptop or using V2 only (no laptop)...?
What V7 and V8 build versions...?
What V2 bootblock and firmware versions...?

Try this:
Start->All Programs->EFILive->V7.5->Tools->USB Manager...
in the mini-app that pops up, click Uninstall USB Drivers, then click Install USB V2.02.04.

I expect that the 2.02.04 drivers will resolve this issue for you with the V7 software.

they are not even on the list to pick them
Exactly, so you need to follow Joe's post and Validate the PIDs. Then they will be available in the list. Edit->Validate PIDs in the Scan tool.

Did you make sure you selected the proper controller when you went File -> Connect? Mine defaults to the FlashScan/AutoCal only option sometimes. Try it again with the E40 LB7 (03 Dmax) or E35A LBZ (06 Dmax) controller selected. Then click Edit->Validate PIDs.

In scantool, goto each of these and enter/select the info:
- File->Enter VIN
- File->Select Controller
Post a screenshot.

When you post a screen shot, please include the entire screen. The most important info that I need to see is not visible. See the info circled in red in my screen shot, I need to see that. Better still, after you attempt to validate the PIDs, please select the menu option: File->Generate Error Report. Save the error report and post it here - or email it to me at
[email protected]. Regards Paul
