Hello All, I want to thank you all for the guidance so far gained from the hours of searching here.. I do have some questions that are on the noob side, but this is my official first time tuning a GM..so please, please bare with

The vehicle is a 06 GMC Sierra 4.8 liter 4l60.. it has a single turbo and 80 lbs SD/motrons..(future E85)... the question I have is what exactly do I need to do to be able to tune it once it goes into boost? From the research, it looks like I have to go to a COS???.. If so, do you have to buy the COS from EFI live?? As I think you have to when you use the "other" guys software...

I already have a 2 bar GM MAP.. but it seems there are different ones?

Sorry for the noob questions, And I appreciate any help..

Hello Noob,

No extra charge for using a COS with EFILive - these are "free" with the purchase of your V2 / tuning licence for the PCM.

If memory serves there are no COSs for 2006 OS. Your 2006 truck uses a different TAC and APP than the previous 2003 to 2005 models did - so using an older OS (to be COS compatible) is not an option.

Hey Taz, thank you for your input.. You seem well schooled in all things GM by the posts I've seen...

OK, so no Custom operating system for it.. guess that explains why the "custom OS" tab when clicked shows nothing available...

So how would I go about tuning the truck once it starts to see boost?

Is it possible to renormalize or rescale the MAP, IFR and VE tables to see boost?
