Need 1 for a 2006 Truck. They stop on the 05's and already tried the 05 but it is screwing with the electronic throttle causing limp mode.

Have a 06 Avalanche here running 18lbs of boost.

You are not the only person with this problem, however I don't think
they are going to go back and add more.

Hello slowhawk,

There won't be any new COS forthcoming for the LS1-B PCMs - in the computer world these PCMs are obsolete.

The 2006 and 2007 Gen III trucks moved to a new style APP (gas pedal) that uses 2 sensors (2003-2005 truck APPs used 3 sensors). The programming of the TAC is also different between these two groups.

About the only thing you could do (to be COS compatible) is switch the APP and TAC to a 2003 - 2005 style, and run a 2003 - 2005 OS in the PCM. The TB itself should be compatible with the older TAC and OS.

This is not a "plug and play" swap - several of the connectors are different.

If you decide to go this route, I can help with the schematics.

Taz

Thanks TAZ. I might go that route this winter for the customer.

Just sucks how things like a OS is just not thought about because it is old. The older vehicles are the one's getting heavilly modified nowadays.
