stupid boost

need an OS that is capable of running up to 315kpa. running the "other guys" 2.5 OS now and i have zr1 map scaled 312.50 and -11.25 and the problem is that OS is clamped at 255. so no matter what value you put in map offsets it will only go to 255. does efi live have a true 315?

thanks!

Hi, I just checked the E38 and E67 files I have. The short answer is no, EFILive's VVE only goes to 255kPa as well. Since these are factory OSs and not custom ones like the LS1 PCM needs to run boost, I imagine thats a hard limit imposed by GM.

Good luck, let us know what you end up doing!

FWIW 255 kPA is 37PSI. Taking away 15 PSI for normal atmospheric pressure gives you 22PSI or 1.5 Bar of boost to play with on the stock OS. This would also bring you up to the limits of the spark maps as well.

312.5 kPA is 42.3 PSI, 27.3PSI or 1.82 bar of boost. That's some serious FI going on there!

Simon.

yeah i was running 25 psi and she was going lean..
what i was thinking is setting values of the zr1 map so that @~28 on test pressure gauge the tuning scanner would be just tipping into the 255 kpa cell. now this will screw with my baro setting but...
