Hey guys,
Now that I'm going to do mail order ECM's I have a question about stocking ECM's

How many actual different ECM's are there for each generation, I know there are several part numbers and such...... but can I use an 01' ECM in an early 04' or can I use the Bosch LBZ ECM in an LMM? You guys kinda get the idea of what I'm asking, I'm just trying to see exactly how many different ECM's there are for each gen.

Also, do 2wd trucks require a physically different ECM, or just a different OS flashed into the same ECM as a 4wd?

Thanks a million!

As far as LB7's go, there are at least 2, possibly 3 different ones available.v I know 01 is a different part number than the 02+ ECM's. An 02-04 ECM will work in an 01, but I'm 99% certain an 01 ECM will NOT work in an 02-04 due to the oil pressure sensor change from 02-03.

I know of at least two for the LB7, 2001's and then everything else. LBZ & LMM ECM's are not interchangeable, you'll need to keep both types.
