Can anyone tell me if there are any other problems (other than necessary tuning) when changing from 99 LS1 OS (9373372)to 2002

Z06 OS (12212156). This is with the 99 PCM. (any pinout differences). Thanks for any input. Jim

Hello Jim,

The 1999 and 2002 Corvette PCM pinouts are the same. If you are using the original PCM - full flash a 2002 Corvette tune - and tune from this point.

If you are using a replacement PCM - make sure you change the VIN in the PCM to that of your Corvette - prior to first use. A VIN mismatch in the various modules used in a Corvette may cause intermodule communication issues.

Thanks Taz,

I full flashed the 2156 tune (on the bench) and changed the VIN to the 99 C5. I am surprised that not changing the VIN would cause a communication problem.

I also copyed and paste the tables in the new OS from the 99 (the ones where the X and Y axis were the same)

The reason for the change is to make available the Z06 trans temp readout on the DIC. We have the temp sensor wired in but must use the Z06 OS in order to activate.

Thanks for the info. Jim

The other modules might get upset if the PCM has the wrong VIN.
