View Full Version : did segment swap to 4l80e have a question

ok i did the segment swap changed shift time to that of the 4l60e and change shift rpm. question is do i have to play with part throttle shifting or is there another way to get that stuff right?

The gear ratios are different, so you have to make sure the PT shift tables are sane with regards to the RPM's;

i.e. for each cell, what is the RPM that corresponds to that MPH;

if you got the speedo entered correctly, the tunetool tells you the RPM for each MPH.

Ah ok I see it now it adjusts it for ya that's sweet. They look pretty close also changing the rear gears.

You don't actually need to do a segment swap, you can run the 4l80e on a 4l60e program with some wiring changes.
