Stupid question possibly, but can I assume our EFILIVE will read codes if plugged into a bmw? If it will do that will it allow access to any type of generic code in the BMW ECM?
Did not really see any info on this and its been a couple years since I have used my software...
Thanks

No vehicle found, same as when I plugged into my Lexus GS400, wrong type of communication. Just not supported protocol.

I'm surprised because I'm looking around for tuning software for my BMW And I found something called tunerpro that appears to have capabilities of tuning almost every make and model car just by plugging into the OBD2 port.

Its not the software, its the hardware. With TunerProRT what are you going to use to plug in the to the OBD2 port with?

No it won't work.
GM and Chrysler are the only users of the VPW J1850 protocol.
