Silverado transmission file problems

Hi ,

I have a 2008 silverado , i did an engine tuning but for some reason i cannot access to the transmission calibration in the definitions, i have a 6L80E transmission.
Any ideas of what would cause this ?

Can you explain how you've tried reading the TCM...?

Have you tried using the V8 software...?

What build version is your V7 and V8 software at...? What firmware version is your V2 at...?

Hi John, as Joe mentioned your truck has both an ECM and TCM. 2 seperate modules that must be read and tuned individually with EFILive. Open V7.5 Tune Tool and click the green read arrow, select T43 TCM as the controller and try that. Or open V8 Scan & Tune, click F3 Tune, then click F2 Read, then click Auto Detect. Should bring up the E38 ECM and T43 TCM, either click read and read both out or right click the E38 ECM and click E38 again to deselect it. Then read just the T43 TCM.

Oh, but make sure you have the latest software and firmware for your V2!
